There is no greater honor than wearing the uniform of the United States Armed Forces to serve, protect, and defend our nation. Our soldiers take care of us abroad, and we must care for them when they return home. Our veterans deserve fast and easy access to quality healthcare, including mental health services, education and trade programs, and job opportunities that provide for themselves and their families. We should also provide financial resources to help veterans transition into civilian life, including financial assistance, access to credit, and relocation expenses.

Increasing Service Delivery

As your Congresswoman, I will advocate for greater funding and support for the VA to ensure that all veterans are able to access the resources they need in a timely and efficient manner. Administering the VA is one of the great responsibilities of our government, and we should rise to meet the changing needs of our veterans without privatizing services.

Commitment to Equality

I am committed to ensuring that the opportunity to serve in the United States Armed Forces remains equal to every individual regardless of race, sex, gender, religion, or sexual orientation. I will advocate for policies to guard against sexual assault and domestic violence in the military so that all individuals can serve their country with dignity, respect, and above all, safety.
