Minute With Michelle 06.10.20
Hello everyone! The news has been heavy lately, so I’ll make this quick. We’re entering a new phase of the campaign and I need your help. Now is the time to get engaged.
To make it easier for us to stay connected, I’ll be sharing a few short updates with you here on Facebook each week. I want you to have accurate, timely information to share with your network.
To flip Kansas’ Second Congressional District, it will take all of us. So let’s get started.
Wondering where I stand on the protest that took place in Topeka last week? Listen to my interview with WIBW.
Volunteers needed now! Please let us know if you’d like to help phone bank (invite supporters to upcoming events); assist with data entry on Votebuilder (training provided); and or write thank you notes (stamp, stuff, and mail). To sign-up, contact Nicole Revenaugh.
Volunteer Spotlight: Lois Orth-Lopes!
Lois has been a dedicated member of the Democratic party for years, and has brought that knowledge and passion to the Michelle for Kansas Campaign. In her spare time she still manages to grow spectacular flowers. Lois is heading up volunteer contact in Douglas County and is already helping us set up calling and texting programs there. Thank you for all you do, Lois!
ICYMI: I can’t say it enough: being endorsed by Mayor Pete Buttigieg means a lot to me, mayor to mayor.
America would be better off with more mayors in Congress, especially mayors like Michelle De La Isla. I met her when she first took office, and have been impressed ever since by her leadership, drawing on her own challenges as a teenage mother and person experiencing homelessness to serve her constituents with compassion as well as intellect and determination. Kansans will be fortunate to have her serving them in the U.S. House.– Pete Buttigieg
Thanks for reading – and for sharing this info! I’ll be back next week with another update.
