Minute With Michelle 06.23.20

If you’re the kind of person that reads these weekly updates, you likely understand how critical it is to get involved right now.

Now more than ever, we must work to bring Kansans - and our nation - together.

When I look at a map of the Second Congressional District, I don’t see red and blue counties, I see friends and neighbors. I see teachers, pastors, and farmers. I see our children trying to plan for the future in the midst of COVID-19 and racial injustice.

It’s nearly July. The primary is just around the corner on August 4, 2020. Here’s a few ways you can jump in and help us flip KS-02.

Schedule an event. Next week, we’re getting back on the road (while taking all safety precautions). If you’d like me to attend your event or speak to a group, please complete this request form as soon as possible.

Join our first Phone Bank Marathon! We’re hosting a virtual phone bank on Saturday, June 27th, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can sign up for one hour or more. No experience necessary. We’ll make it easy! Contact Nicole Revenaugh if you want to get in on the fun!

Attend or promote my fundraiser with Paul Davis on Thursday. Scroll down this Facebook page for details and to share the invitation. Tickets are only $50!

Volunteer Spotlight: Sharon Avery! Sharon jumped into this campaign with open arms. She has been an active phone banker and dedicated volunteer, offering to help with almost every project. In her spare time, Sharon Avery is also involved in MOMS Demand Action and other social justice causes. Thank you Sharon for your hard work and commitment to #StandUpKS!

I am so proud of everyone involved in this campaign. If you haven’t volunteered yet, I hope you’ll join us. --Michelle De La Isla
