Hello Team Michelle! Let’s talk about the Kansas primary coming up on August 4, 2020.
Do you want to vote in-person or by mail? If you’re already registered to vote, you still have options. To vote by mail, you have until July 28th to request an advance ballot.
Request your advance ballot now from https://www.ksvotes.org/.
Not sure if you’re registered? You can check that, too, at the same link: https://www.ksvotes.org/
Do you have questions about voting? If so, we want to answer them. Please take a moment right now to visit the Michelle for Kansas Facebook page and send my team a direct message. We will help troubleshoot, get you the right links, share deadlines and do whatever it takes to help you exercise your right to vote.
Voting by mail? Do it now! Don’t let your ballot get lost in the shuffle. To be sure your vote is counted, we suggest sending it as soon as possible. Don’t risk forgetting about it or sending it late.
Do you have a plan for August 4, 2020? If voting by mail isn't an option for you, you can find your polling location here: https://myvoteinfo.voteks.org/voterview. Polls are open from 7 AM to 7 PM. Don't forget your mask!
Why does voting matter? As we reflect on why voting matters, this quote from Congressman John Lewis serves as a powerful reminder. His passing has been heavy on my heart this week and I can think of no better way to honor his legacy than to vote.
“My dear friends: Your vote is precious, almost sacred. It is the most powerful nonviolent tool we have to create a more perfect union.” --John Lewis, 2012
Volunteer Spotlight! Megan Storie! Megan jumped right into volunteering on the Communications Team. She contributed on a daily basis and we can’t say thank you enough for her dedication in the first few months of this campaign. She’s a student, she works as a barista, and still found time to help out in so many ways. Our campaign relies on first-time volunteers like Megan and I am so very grateful for her work. Thank you Megan!
Hope to see some of you at the Paola Rotary Club Parade/Miami County 4-H Fair Parade tomorrow! --Michelle
